Companhia de Dança Afro Euwá-Dandaras de Santa Maria (RS) e o debate sobre cotas raciais: uma análise do impacto das ações afirmativas na vida de oito bailarinas

Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze how the debate and the implementation of affirmative actions, more specifically of the racial quotas, affected the life of the ballerinas in the professional and personal scope. The main subject of this work is the Euwá-Dandaras Afro Dance Company, operating group of the college town of Santa Maria, a country town in Rio Grande do Sul. In order to do such analysis, it will be necessary to give an historical context of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the Communitarian Museum Treze de Maio, the debates on racial quotas in the town and the construction of the dance company.
