Resumen
The risk analysis of lightning losses is performed based on several determining factors. Such as dimensions of the structure to be analyzed, material of which the structure is constituted, activities performed in it, contents and people inside and around, among other factors. In view of these characteristics, several indices of losses and damages caused by different ways that an atmospheric discharge can influence a structure are considered, making the risk analysis something of great complexity. Thus, the objective of this work is to develop a computational tool that performs a risk analysis in the scope of lightning strikes, aiming to verify whether or
not there is a need to install a lightning protection system (SPDA) and the level of protection for a structure. Reliability must be guaranteed by the composition of the calculations given by the NBR 5419/2015 standard, which governs the concepts that underlie the development of an SPDA project. In addition, by analyzing the risks of loss of human life, loss of public services, loss of cultural heritage and loss of economic value, it is possible to determine the need for correction, in the case of an already installed SPDA, of way that respects the current rule. The software was developed in C ++ Builder, which is a graphic design tool, and offers a graphical interface for easy interaction with the designer. The result was a design tool, which, meeting the regulatory criteria, efficiently performs a risk analysis.
