Imagem, linguagem e comunicação: a estética contemporânea na visualidade televisiva da personagem Emília em O Sítio do Picapau Amarelo

Resumen
Este trabalho pretende estudar a composição visual contemporânea da personagem Emília em O Sítio do Picapau Amarelo, verificando os aspectos da comunicação a partir da representação estética da boneca, apoiados no imaginário social e na espetacularização da imagem televisiva do moderno/pós-moderno. A pesquisa tem início na observação e análise da modernidade – período em que Emília surge nas telas – verificando e investigando em seguida, sua permanência na pós-modernidade, cenário em que identificamos as principais mudanças na sua exibição gerando questionamentos aqui discutidos, como a configuração espetacularizada numa sociedade complexa, guiada pelo consumo. Utilizamos como metodologia a Hermenêutica de Profundidade de John B. Thompson (1995) através da combinação das seguintes etapas: análise sócio-histórica, análise discursiva e interpretação/reinterpretação. Apropriando-nos deste procedimento, acreditamos ter alcançado os objetivos e respondido a questão problema, evidenciando a atemporalidade ideológica da boneca Emília em mais de meio século de existência no imaginário infantil. The present work seeks to study the contemporary visual composing of the character Emília in O Sítio do Picapau Amarelo, verifying the aspects of communication from the doll’s aesthetic representation, supported on social imaginary and on spectacularization of modern/post-modern television image. The research starts with observation and analysis of modernity – period in which Emília appears on screen – verifying and investigating after that, her permanence in post-modernity, scenery where we can identify the main changes in her exhibition, creating questions here discussed, such as the spectacularized figuration in a complex society guided by consumerism. The methodological basis lies on John B. Thompson’s Hermeneutics of Depth (1995) through the combination of the following phases: social-historical analysis, discursive analysis and interpretation/reinterpretation. Having appropriated of this procedure, it is believed to have reached the objectives and answered the problem question, highlighting Emília’s ideological timeless in more than half a century of existence in childish imaginary.
