A organização eclesiástica da Assembléia de Deus em Canoas/RS

Abstract

A presente pesquisa constitui um estudo de caso cujo objetivo principal consiste em analisar a estrutura organizacional da Igreja Evangélica Assembléia de Deus no município de Canoas/RS. Para tanto, aborda a história desta organização religiosa, no Brasil, no Rio Grande do Sul e em Canoas; seu crescimento na década de 1990, sua estrutura administrativa, organizada em convenções, campos, distritos, congregações, centros evangelísticos e departamentos; sua forma de governo eclesiástico, em análise comparativa com o governo eclesiástico das Assembléias de Deus na região metropolitana da cidade do Rio de Janeiro/RJ; os locais de culto, suas relações de poder, as práticas e estratégias de seus dirigentes.

This research consists of a case study, which aims to analyze the organizational structure of the Assembly of God church from the city of Canoas,RS. Thus, this paper discusses the history of this religious organization, in Brazil, in Rio Grande do Sul and in Canoas; it’s growth in the 1990’s, it’s administrative structure based on conventions, fields, districts, congregations, evangelistic centers and departments; it’s form of ecclesiastical government, in comparative analysis with the ecclesiastical government of the Assemblies of God of the Metropolitan Region of the city of Rio de Janeiro, RJ; the places of worship, the relations of power, the practices and strategies of it’s leaders.
