CNPq This study seeks to understand the possible relationships between learning styles and the unified theory of acceptance and effective use of technologies - UTAUT, represented using Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) by undergraduate students in Public Administration in the Distance Learning modality offered by the Federal University of the São Francisco Valley (UNIVASF). The Distance Learning is a modality that raises discussions about the use of technologies since the beginning of the XXI. For Kolb (1984, 1986), they are termed Accommodators, Assimilators, Convergents, and Divergent, and are identified from the predilections of individuals as to the way of learning. The unified theory of acceptance and effective use of technologies (UTAUT) seeks to gauge the degree to which a person accepts or rejects a technology. Theoretically, the literature on learning styles (KOLB, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1999a), EAD (MORAN, 2002, FORMIGA, 2009, KENSKI, 2012) and UTAUT (DAVIS, 1986, 1989) and VENKATESH et al., 2003). A quantitative case study method was used, and information was collected through a Survey with convenience and non-probabilistic sample. Pearson correlation techniques, coefficients in biserial points, tests of the hypotheses of the UTAUT model and the central of this study were applied. It was identified that the predominant style was convergent, followed by the assimilator and the statistical correlations were insufficient to prove the hypotheses tested. In contrast to the study by Venkatesh et. al (2003), it was noticed that the attitude hypothesis regarding the use of the technology did not influence the behavioral intention was refuted, suggesting the return of the variable in studies in the Distance Learning.
