CAPES This is the result of a Master's research that aimed to analize the Internal Didactic Transposition in the teaching process of the operation of division of natural numbers in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades of the Fundamental Teaching. From the theoretical point of view, It is based on the notion of Didactic Transposition proposed by Yves Chevallard in particular the Internal Didactic Transposition, based on previous research on the subject from which emerges the categories of analysis adopted in this study, namely: the different calculation procedures (mental, written, exact, approximate, by estimation, rounding and using conventional algorithms), the meanings of the division (partition and discharge), the treatment given to the rest and the interpretation of the results obtained in the division operation. Specially sought to identify the teaching know-how related to operation division suggested by legal documents and textbooks adopted by teachers math in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades in public schools of the municipal network of the city of Águas Belas in the rough of Pernambuco and analyze the knowledge effectively taught in classes of teachers participating in the research on the teaching operation of the division operation. In order to achieve the objectives, some official documents were analyzed, as well as the three textbooks adopted by the school and that they should be used by the teachers participating in the research, in an attempt to understand what the schools and the teachers stablish while knowing how to teach. The classes of the participating teachers in the teaching situation of the natural numbers division operation were also observed aiming at a later comparison between the knowledge expected to be. The data indicated that none of the three teachers taught the knowledge expected to be taught in the analyzed legal documents and textbooks, that is, transformed the teaching knowledge into untaught knowledge, through changes deformation and leaving gaps in the knowledge expected to be taught. Regarding the different calculation procedures, the teaching of "rules" was observed to facilitate the process of aquiring knowledge about the division operation, as well as none of the teachers worked all the procedures on the documents and textbook; as for the meanings of the division, it was noted that the teachers prioritized the meaning partition in their classes; already in the treatment given to the rest worked exact and non-exact division, that is, the rest was not dealt with, because it has with strategies of the students, that is, the knowledge learned; and in the interpretation of the division, it was found that only one of the teachers taught the knowledge expected to be taught. It is important to highlight the non-use of the LD by the teachers, that is, they would carry out complete activity sheets or write on the board, a fact that may have contributed to the changes, deformations and highlighted gaps.Given the above, we conclude that the process of Internal Didactic Transposition resulting from the approach of the three participating teachers in relation to knowing how to teach the operation division of natural numbers occured differently from what was foreseen in legal documents and textbooks which can cause damage to students' learning.
