One of the themes that is directly related to the school dynamics is the school thermal comfort. This can have implications for both learning and student achievement. Therefore, this work aimed to explore the concepts of heat and temperature through analysis of the adaptation of the traffic light method, Mind Lab®, to improve the thermal comfort of the classroom with the implementation of a sustainable thermal curtain. This study was developed in a qualitative and quantitative research approach and the technical procedure adopted was action research. The instruments used for data collection were the pictographic Pre-test, the application of the Mind Lab® Semaphore Method for environmental diagnosis and the stages of the elaboration of the Sustainable Thermal Curtain, with photos and narratives of the students and the evaluative Pos test-quiz. The target subjects were students of the seven the grade of a fundamental of a public school of the prefecture of Recife. The pictographic result showed that the students presented some difficulty to conceptually differentiate the heat from the temperature. The adaptation of the Mind Lab® semaphore method showed that it was possible to make transcendences beyond the game itself, managed to make the adaptation to carry out an environmental diagnosis, where to predict the context analysis, possible solutions to the problem and the best implementation o faction. The construction of the sustainable thermal curtain, made from a milk carton, resulted in a reduction in sun light from students notebooks, reducing the temperature from 30°C to 28.6°C and from 85% to 66% humidity. Provide better thermal comfort in the classroom due to the evaporation process of sweating. Through the application of the evaluation evaluative test, it was possible to verify the students "conceptual growth or development" regarding the concepts of heat and temperature. Thus, this research provided significant learning in students through a didactic pedagogical innovation based on real problems inserted in the school environment itself, encouraged the social protagonism of the student and contributed to sustainability with economically viable solutions.
