Daí surge nosso questionamento: Quais as
corporais. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo, qualitativa, descritiva e de natureza aplicada;
separarmos. Special education in Brazil, is a major clash in relation to the concepts that are linked to it,
such as inclusion and integration. The proposal of an inclusive educational system is then
perceived in its historical dimension as a process of reflection and practice that enables
conceptual, political and pedagogical changes to be made consistent with the purpose of
making effective the right of all to education, as advocated by the Federal Constitution of
1988. Thence our question: What are the barriers / impediments in the process of inclusion of
people with intellectual disabilities and what are the influences of teacher education? To
analyze from the perspective of teachers of students with Intellectual Disabilities, the reality
of professional activity in the inclusive process and about the initial formation, directed to this
public, allowing us to reflect, to have considerations about it and to launch proposals about
the training of undergraduates in physical education, in this modality. It is justified mainly by
the lack of studies in the area of initial and continuing education in Pernambuco, for teachers
of students with intellectual disabilities and to analyze the importance of the intervention of a
physical education teacher for this public in regular education. It is believed that teacher
training does not satisfactorily enable them to work with students with intellectual disabilities
and that there is a small number of physical education teachers teaching to this public, which
may influence the visibility and legitimacy of the subject as a curricular content and deficits in
students' physical and cognitive development due to the possible absence of corporal
practices. This is a field research, qualitative, descriptive and applied nature; the subjects are 9
teachers who teach in the area of special education. The Focal Group method was used to
collect the data, divided into two sections; And for analysis of the data, will be done content
analysis. We identified that the barriers and challenge are based on basically 2 categories that
are the pedagogical Barriers and the Structural Barriers, that still divide 7 and 4 into
subcategories respectively. We analyze that many of the identified barriers are not noticed day
by day due to adaptation, but when they are collectively problematic, it is possible to find
exits. This research allowed us to make some reflections about teacher education and its
contributions in the professional performance in schools that receive students with Specialized
Educational Needs, in the sense that teacher training does not meet the pedagogical needs that
the school demands, mainly due to the disparity that there is between theory and practice, that
fragments the knowledge and does not give to the students, subsidies and conditions of
assimilation between the applicability of theories and of the planning. It is necessary to reevaluate the driving idea of the courses and not simply modify the curriculum, mainly because
assimilate, and makes it more complicated if we separate.
