O tratamento proposto foi o Foto-Fenton-Like (UV/H₂O₂/Fe²⁺(Fe³⁺)) e a Fotocatálise Heterogênea (TiO₂/UV/H₂O₂), utilizando radiação UV-A e Sunlight. CAPES The generation of waste has contributed to the increase of environmental pollution, since most of them are treated inadequately. Among these pollutants, the Emerging Contaminants (EC) are considered as a recent discovery, in concentrations in the order of μg.L⁻¹ to ng.L⁻¹ and up to pg.L⁻¹, presenting high toxicity and persistence. Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH), one of CE class, have two or more conjugated aromatic rings, lipophilic, ubiquitous, presenting as carcinogenic, mutagenic and/or teratogenic potentials. The sources of these compounds are natural or anthropogenic, the second being more expressive. Conventional treatments of effluents are not efficient in the degradation of these compounds, so alternative techniques such as Advanced Oxidative Processes (AOP) are being used to treat them. The AOP generates free hydroxyl radicals, reacting with organic compounds, producing CO2 and H2O. The objective of this work was to identify and quantify the HPA mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in two samples containing petroleum derivatives. The proposed treatment was Photo-Fenton-Like (UV / H₂O₂ / Fe² ⁺ (Fe³ ⁺)) and Heterogeneous Photocatalysis (TiO₂ / UV / H₂O₂), using UV-A and Sunlight radiation. Total Organic Carbon (TOC) conversion was measured, Lumped Kinetic Model (LKM) kinetic modeling was tested and toxicity tests were performed with four seeds of greenery and one seed of grain. Fifteen priority HPA by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) were identified, with a total HPA concentration of 127.04 μg.L⁻¹ and 80.57 μg.L⁻¹ of samples 1 and 2 respectively. The highest percentages of degradations obtained in Sample 1, UV-A and Sunlight, respectively, were 84.6% and 80.44%, at the highest levels of the reagents used, and with the AOP of type TiO₂/UV/H₂O₂. The degradative percentages of Sample 2, UV-A and Sunlight, respectively, were 70.7% and 92.31%, at the highest levels of the reagents used, and with the POA of type TiO₂/UV/H₂O₂. The TOC of sample 1 and 2, respectively, 1074 mgC.L⁻¹ and 13650 mgC.L⁻¹, where the mineralization obtained in sample 1 was 34.94% and 66.02% UV-A and Sunlight respectively. In sample 2, 13.99% and 37.05% conversion were obtained with UV-A and Sunlight, respectively. The fit of the kinetic model was favorable, presenting low residual errors. The toxicity test proved the high toxic degree of the samples and their formed intermediates.
