Um caminho de interpretação sobre o Estado do bem-social no Brasil (1930-2019)

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the performance of the State of Social Welfare in Brazil between 1930 and 2019. To carry out the proposed analysis, a review of the specialized bibliography was performed, exploring interpretations of the historical period since the constitution In general, we used the analytical-descriptive method with which it was possible to reveal, through the author's own interpretation, the main characteristics and typologies of the State of Social Welfare in Brazil as well as its advances and setbacks. The question that led to the analysis of the current work was: At what stage was the State of Social Welfare in Brazil most universal regarding social spending in general and social security in particular? The conclusion reached was that in Brazil the State of Social Welfare has always wavered regarding the expansion or restriction of itssocial obligations. However, its performance was always more positive in periods of expansion of the economic cycle and in periods when popular governments were at the head of their administration.
