Abstract

Dentistry is a field of health studies that aims to diagnose, treat and prevent the diseases of stomatognatic system. According to the literature, fear and anxiety of patients during dental treatment is a very common situation, due to the tools used and also noise produced at these clinics. Therapeutical measures and also a special care about the architectural design are used to soften that problem. In that way, this present undergraduation final assignment has as its objective to propose an advanced dentistry center with various specialties in Natal/RN, following the current regulations of the field and also the principles of humanization of health treatment. Aiming to achieve the proposed objectives, bibliographical research will be done, direct and indirect references studies, visits to the site with photographic recording, drawings and interviews with patients and dentists, as also as the study of the site and the specific regulation related with health care institutions. The design presented in this work has architectural solutions related with: natural ventilation and illumination, noise control, ergonomics, accessibility, outside/inside architectural links, big gardens an color use.
