Resumen
The construction industry culturally has difficulty in adopting new construction techniques that appear on the market, although their adoption is sometimes necessary, since economic instability causes the industry to constantly reinvent itself. This makes the construction companies increasingly seek to adopt in their construction methodologies “lean” processes, which guarantee quality and efficiency, therefore, a better cost-benefit. In view of this, the constructive system of sealing masonry with molded concrete and executed in loco, the so-called concrete wall, are emerging as a constructive alternative for presenting advantages in the speed of execution, in the optimization of the workforce and in the construction process as a whole, in addition to reducing the occurrence of execution pathologies. Thus, the objective of this work is to show that the construction system concrete walls can be a constructive alternative to make the process more efficient and increase the technical knowledge of this method. The methodology used was a case study comparing the concrete wall systems and the conventional masonry using ceramic blocks. From this comparison, results were obtained analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the concrete wall construction method in relation to the conventional one, and the discussion revolved around which situations it is preferable to use this alternative construction methodology that this work exposed.
