dc.description.abstractA double-pumping piston pump was manufactured and tested low-cost manual, for the operations of sending or raising water, without the use of industrial pumps that require the presence of electric power, enabling them to be even poorly accessible locations. Will be presented the processes of manufacturing, assembly and operation of the designed pump. The components of the designed pump are of PVC, which facilitated the assembly of the prototype hydraulic system studied. The biggest advantage of this pump in relation to pumps Conventional alternatives is its double-acting pumping capacity, which increases the volume pumped. The pump is created and manufactured for wind pumping systems, driven by wind turbines of vertical or in the operation of the withdrawal of water from wells, cisterns and reservoirs. The tests demonstrated the feasibility of using the pump produced, obtaining pumping up to five meters in height.
