dc.description.abstractThis work is a complement to the computer program of Injection Monitoring through Temperature Profiles. This computational tool is able to infer water injection flows in multizone wells through injector well temperature measurements, based on the mathematical model of Ramey Jr. (1962). This work refers exclusively to the development of the Computational Program Interface, the Automation process of choice of points for the tool operation and the study of the influence of Convection on the Annular in the mathematical model of Ramey Jr. (1962). The computational interface and the choice of temperature and depth data for tool operation were developed in Excel using the Visual Basic for Applications language. The study of the influence of the heat exchanges through convection in the annular was based on the paper by Hasan and Kabir (1994). In order to evaluate the flow rates inferred by the automatic choice based on data, the inferred values were compared to the flow measurement tool and the manual input option. For the measurement of the influence of heat transfer by convection in the annular, was made a comparison between the adjustment of the measured temperature profile in use and non-use of the heat transfer by convection in the annulus.
