The present work has as research object, the confrontation of the exploitation of child labor by the Social Assistance Policy in the city of Macaíba / RN and the centrality that this imposes on the family. It has as a general objective, in this perspective critically analyzed the confrontation of the exploitation of child labor in the city of Macaíba / RN from the cut of the Special Protection of the Social Assistance Policy, problematizing the context of the policy that centralizes in the family the overcoming of social vulnerabilities. For the development of the study, the following specific objectives were highlighted: Verify whether the assistance policy has contributed or not to face the exploitation of child labor in the Municipality; problematize the centrality that Assistance dispenses to families in the face of this issue in the context of capitalist sociability; analysis based on the ethical understanding of social service, which is the technique of exploiting child labor in capitalist reproduction and the impacts on the subject's social development; Demonstrate the importance of this study for academic knowledge as well as to deconstruct the common sense that permeates the exploitation of child labor. In the construction of this work, it was supported in the critical-dialectic perspective, using bibliographic and documentary research methodological procedure, characterized in an exploratory study. The results obtained pointed to the fact that the exploitation of child labor in Brazil has decreased in recent decades, however these same data point out that child labor is still latent; the Social Assistance Policy alone is not sufficient to eradicate the exploitation of child labor; insertion in early work approaches violence, marginality, illness, school dropout and the perpetuation of the poverty cycle, pointing out the problem is not associated, only poverty, exclusion and social inequality existing in Brazil, with others cultural and economic factors. In order to face this problem, an intersectoral articulation with different public policies is necessary, with the aim of ensuring the full protection of the rights of children and adolescents in work situations and also of their families.
