In coastal cities, as Natal, it is characteristic that the sea becomes an element of daily attraction, concentrating leisure and entertainment equipment. Combined to that, Natal is returning to attract cultural events destined to a diversified public, showing growth at the interest in nightlife. However, the city is limited in this kind of establishment, in the formal, function, accessibility and acoustic treatment aspects. Thus, this proposal, inserted in the area of knowledge of architectural design and acoustic comfort, has the objective of developing a project for a nightclub at the city of Natal, focusing on the visual permeability allied to acoustic technologies. Therefore, the preparation of the preliminary project is based on bibliographical research and complemented with reference studies, which made it possible to determine the program and particularities of the function, as much as the implications of acoustics in form, materiality and function. Therefore, after understanding the particularities met by the typology and applying the concepts and technologies of acoustic comfort, it was possible to develop the architectural project of the nightclub, proposing an environment that preserves the acoustic quality within and with its surroundings, while reaching formal expectations of visual legibility.
