Reflexões sobre o estudo da noção de cuidado ambiental no Grupo de Estudos Pessoa-Ambiente da UFRN

Abstract

The objective of this work was to explore studies on behaviors and practices of environmental conservation in the scope of Environmental Psychology, aiming at the use of its results and conclusions by other areas of knowledge and professional performance, as in the case of Environmental Education. The methodological strategy included interactive consultation with specialists from the UFRN's Person-Environment Study Group, who guided the selection of empirical studies that focused on the notion of environmental care. The Google Scholar database was used to track studies that had cited the base article taken as a reference for this search. The set of studies analyzed makes it clear that the notion of environmental care is well understood by the respondents and that the predominant theme in their responses refers to behaviors related to garbage. In conclusion, efforts are recommended in order to facilitate the dissemination of Environmental Psychology research on environmental conservation for a better use of its results by other areas of knowledge and application.
