Resumen
This study aims to address the issues concerning the development of imagination in children through fairy tales. The discussions are based on the thoughts of Vygotsky, considering fairy tales as a means for children to express their ideas, thoughts and feelings. Given the importance of working this genre in the educational context, it is that it focuses the way he has been working in the school context and has been used in order to assist in the child's learning process. Wanted in this paper highlight the importance of the child as a subject / be with their own needs and characteristics, as well as the importance of fairy tales to the formation of the same. Therefore, the aim is, at first, to understand the process of imagination as one of the basic mental functions to child development. Besides seeking to understand the complexity of this process and its importance to the education of children as a social subject, in Vygotsky's perspective. Secondly, we discuss the characterization of the Municipal Center for Education and the profile of those involved in the teaching-learning process. Subsequently, we report the experiences in the classroom on the genre of fairy tales and following will point out some thoughts on the object of study from the analysis of interviews with teachers of early childhood education. And finally, we will conclude presenting the final considerations about all the experiences during the activities developed in this paper, describing the assessments and conclusions about the lived experience.
