Resumen
This paper aims to describe the application of game methodologies and concrete materials for the teaching of fractions in a class of the 4th year of elementary education in a public school in the municipality of Currais Novos / RN. It is assumed that students can improve abstract concepts from the concrete construction of materials and also learn mathematical content by playing. In this perspective we study the theorists: Piaget (1975), Huizinga (2001), Itacarambi (2013), Bertoni (2009), Sousa Júnior and Barboza (2013) and Nunes and Bryant (1997) in which they discuss the teaching of fractions. In this way we perform the application in the classes with the fraction domino and the fraction rule in which we understand to be important for the students' learning. Thus, this work demonstrates how we performed the application of these methodologies in the classroom and the positive results after application of the instrument.
