Resumen
This work aimed to report the experience of intervention in Physical Education classes at the Escola Estadual Lourdes Guilherme, school participant of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) Institutional Program for Scholarships for Initiation in Teaching (PIBID), in the city of Natal, aiming to report how the content “fights” is thematized in the school context, having as a principle the search for values such as respect and companionship, provided by the theme, in order to promote methodological possibilities for its application in school, as well as to understand the differences in the concepts of the therms fight and strike, besides to problematize the teaching of content in Physical Education classes through a process of observation, since this content is associated with violence, being less used in the public school system. Thus, we started the literature review introducing a few of the contexts about physical education at school, bringing to the school’s reality, such as clarifying which content are used in this class and finally addressing the “fights” as this work’s central theme. Eight classes were applied at the school, where several modalities were worked through fight games, based on the short, medium and long distances, as well as the formation of concepts about the subject by the students. Therefore, it was verified that the teaching of content “fight” in school is much more than train punch, moviments and gestures, teaching these manifestations is to broaden their view on content, allowing new visions and new glances to be acquired regarding this content, besides bringing significant values that will carry for life.
