Resumen
This study aims to analyze the pedagogical potentialities of the the SIGEduc Virtual
School space, from the view of technicians and pedagogues of the State Department
of Education and Culture of Rio Grande do Norte (SEEC –RN). The Integrated
School Management System (SIGEduc) is a very innovative, comprehensive
management system with numerous features. To this end, we sought to typify the
functionalities for the pedagogical use of SIGEduc within the scope of the Virtual
School, considering the revelations of the technical team. This is a pioneering study
on the SIGEduc Virtual School space and is characterized as exploratory and
descriptive. To collect data in the qualitative dimension, we used a questionnaire
with closed and open questions applied to 43 participants. The collected data were
systematized with the aid of an eletronic spreadsheet and the analyzes were
performed by discourse analysis technique. We tried to highlight the arguments that
had the greatest weight (incidences) in the speech / opinions issued by the
informants. The results show that the interviewees understand the importance of
SIGEduc as a tool for the integrated management of administrative and school
technical routines. However, little is referred to it as an enhancer of the teachinglearning process, as a space for innovation in educational activities supported by
technological features. In this regard, the study discusses elements of Digital
Information and Communication Technologies DICTs through SIGEduc, whose
Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is anchored in the Virtual School. The
pedagogical environment of this System aims to promote different possibilities of
mediation between the knowledge, learning and didactic-pedagogical activities of
teachers and between them and their students. The study points to the need to
demystify the possible difficulties involving the use of DICTs and the lack of
infrastructure. There was a lack of initiatives to reverse what today hinders the
implementation of the pedagogical use of a Virtual Learning Environment such as
SIGEduc, a space that is also conducive to making educational practices centered
on student protagonism. This space, if well understood, may contribute to the desired
change of attitude of educational professionals based on computational thinking, in
the countless digital tools for the didactic and pedagogical use. To this end, the study
suggests a Training Plan for the SEEC technical teams, at first, and for the other
technical and pedagogical teams of the schools that make up each Regional
Education Bodies of SEEC-RN.
