dc.description.abstractThe urban growth of Natal metropolitan area affects the environment in several aspects. A small number of cities from the countryside are developing a huge population and buildings growth, so, beginning a disordered town development. To contain this problem there are a few laws to delimit areas to be used or not, in this case, it is going to be verified irregular occupations included at the current Forestry Code, Permanent Preservation Areas in Nísia Floresta, Rio Grande do Norte state. These irregular occupations in Permanent Preservation Areas will be analyzed by satellite images from 2002 to 2017 from Google Earth Pro and QGIS, then verify such occupations.
