A expressividade do gesto musical: perspectivas para a práxis performática a partir de Inner World, de Carl Vine

Abstract

This research presents thoughts of its author on the concept of musical gesture and its application in many aspects as an important element for bulding a performance after the study and performance of the piece “Inner World”, by Carl Vine, for cello and eletronic sounds. Then, there is a gestural analysis that considers compositional elements and others indications presented on the score, besides a series of performances that served to aply the concepts. Despite being on the field of performance, this article is not limited to approach the musical gesture on the range of body movements of the interpreter during the performance, but also in the perspective of composition and analises with interpretatives aims.
