Família e diversidade sexual: um campo de violação dos direitos humanos?

Abstract

This work aims to understand and analyze the social determinations that take place in the families and that produce constraint in the sexual diversity of their sons and daughters. We are based on the assumption that there is a hegemonic type of family organization based on the private property, the monogamous marriage and the herteropatriarchy that caus es, due to several determinations, the violation of sexual diversity. In order to understand the relations between the hegemonic type of family in the capitalist society and sexuality, we characterize and analyze the main forms of violation of sex ual diver sity in the familial environment, which operate constraint in the process of the LGBT sons and daughters. Thus, we analyze how the familial environment may reproduce the oppression and the violation of human rights. We also analyze how LGBT groups deal wit h the relation between Family and sexual diversity. The sources for the production and analysis of data were bibliographic revision, documental analysis, as well as researches in sites from social moviments and institutions related to the subject.
