Resumen
This present work an analysis of energy in an absorption refrigeration system with water-lithium bromide was carried out. The system has refrigeration capacity of 4.25 TR. And the heat source required for the operation of the absorption cycle comes from cylindrical parabolic solar concentrators (CPC).
Using the software EES (Engineering Equation Solver), we were able to calculate the thermodynamic parameters of the model. With the energy evaluation, the coefficient of performance of the system, the irreversibility of each component and the efficiency of the heat exchangers are determined.
The evaluated system presented a coefficient of performance of 0.713. The biggest irreversibility of the system is measured in the generator with a maximum value of 2.638 kW.
To select the total solar area of the system, the parameters of a collector prototype was built and tested previously in UFRN solar energy laboratory. The smallest solar collector was achieved for the largest radiation index and minimum collector temperature the area found was 49.26 m² which is equivalent to 22 collectors.
