dc.description.abstractThis study aims to analyze a segment of the history of cinema. It focuses on the horror and terror genres, their movements, fundamentals, and the inspirational relation between the films of these genres along the decades. The analysis was performed using the comparative method in order to establish relations between older and newer films, and debate the following question: could post-horror be a new subgenre of cinema? Through the analysis of four films, it was found that there were more similarities than differences between them.
