Resumen
Over time, the library and the librarian have been transforming and transforming their services in the face of the needs presented by their users and the development of humanity. Among these changes that have occurred, there is the specialization of libraries and their professionals according to the context in which they are inserted, thus, the school library emerged, which focuses primarily on the needs of its school and its users who may become the students, teachers and employees of this institution. Within this same school context, there is the possibility of information literacy, the application of which is focused on the development of certain skills for the best use of information, whatever its media and types. This work aims to analyze the importance of the librarian, the school library and the application of information literacy in the context of a school library, using the experience of internship in a private pre-school and elementary school located in the city of Natal (RN). In order to answer the guiding question of the study: what is the importance of the librarian, the library and the informational literacy during the school phase? For this, it was necessary to use a bibliographic research source in the area and to apply interviews with the two involved in the daily life of the referred library, the librarian and the pedagogue, being of qualitative approach and inductive logic. It was concluded that the role of the library, the librarian and the informational literacy still in these early school years is of fundamental importance in the informational path that this user has to travel in the future, being protagonists who will guide him in his informational search, encouraging and teaching to use this information in the best possible way, even if such importance and such roles are still unknown and/or undervalued by a large part of society.
