Abstract

This present term paper for graduation in Visual Arts approaches the construction and preparation of a photographic project that was made and which the object of study is makeup registration. The art research investigates the presence of face painting and the human face studies in the academic and personal trajectory of the author and investigates the process of creating photoshoots that explores many poetic speeches from makeup and photography. The work supported in theories from beauty, style and art researchers as Lisa Eldridge, Kevyn Aucoin and Philip Hallawell follow the execution of this shoots while commenting the present influences surrounding contemporary artists such as photographers, makeup artists, directors and area expertises. The search analizes about the artistic decisions made, the poetic intentions in the photographies and the archived results of this work such as the studies about the connection between makeup and visual arts.
