dc.description.abstract | This paper describes the development of a computer code inserted into a Microsoft Excel workbook. The workbook is a practical tool able to, according to the ABNT NBR 6118:2014 prescriptions, numerically solve biaxial bending problems and also evaluate the additional second-order loads in hinge-hinge columns of reinforced concrete whose slenderness ratio is not greater than 140 and a fck not greater than 50 MPa, using the following methods: model column with approximate curvature, model column with κ approximate rigidity, model column with moment-curvature diagrams and general method with moment-curvature diagrams. The results of the workbook were validated analytically by manually verifying a reinforced concrete cross-section, with a difference of 0,897%, and numerically by comparing these results to the CAD/TQS’s (MAPE = 0,57%), P-Calc’s (MAPE = 0,0%, cross-section verification; MAPE = 0,60%, general method with moment-curvature diagrams) and Oblíqua’s (MAPE = 5,5%) results. | |
