Resumen
The present course conclusion work aims to spread the discussion about the
methodological processes of teaching, of the professors of the Civil Engineering course,
at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), and the impact caused on the
mental health of the students. Given the high rate of people with diagnoses of mental
disorders (OMS, 2017), more than 300 million people, a debate on the subject within the
university campus is necessary. The base data of the research were collected via online
forms, on the Google platform, described in two documents, one being shared for
evaluations of students and graduates, and the other being disseminated among current
teachers. 57 responses were collected from students and 18 responses from faculty. The
methodology used has a quantitative basis, through an inductive method, being the nature
of the research descriptive-exploratory.
