Resumen
Hospital Pedagogy is one of the modalities of the inclusive educational process that aims to favor the child's learning. Considering the importance of explaining about this modality in order to expand the knowledge about its concept, this research aimed to identify the pedagogical performance developed at the institution of the Grupo de Apoio à Criança com Câncer do Rio Grande do Norte (GACC-RN) that contribute to the teaching-learning process of children under treatment. For this, a qualitative approach research was developed from the visit to the institution, as well as an interview with the pedagogical coordinator who works at GACC-RN so that there could be a survey on the contribution and challenges of the pedagogical performance in this context. We used as sources documents that discuss the Right to education, such as the Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (LDBE), and the Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA). And as theoretical support authors such as: Libâneo (2010; 2006) and Esteves (2016) who discuss the importance of an inclusive education. Thus, it was possible to identify what is the educator's view on the importance of developing pedagogical work in the Hospital Class and discussing the challenges that exist in this context. Through the creation of official documents, there was an expansion of the pedagogical performance in the Hospital Classes, aiming at making the student feel welcomed and maintain a relationship with the educational act. However, research has shown the need for greater debate on the subject, so that it becomes better known to society.
