Resumen
Wind energy is a very promising alternative to supply energetically the oil industry, especially artificial oil lift methods. For being an endless resource, clean, self-sufficient and for reducing the emission of greenhouse gases, its participation in oil industry is favored, affording economic feasibility for projects allied with sustainability. A wind energy system has the purpose of transforming kinetics energy provided by the wind into mechanical energy, which is converted into electric energy used to feed the final destination. In this undergrad final work, the electrical power used by artificial oil lift systems is determined for oil wells operating by ESP, PCP and gas lift, aiming the dimensioning of a wind energy power plant, capable of generating enough power to feed the oil lifting, in an efficient and sustainable way. For the study, a model power plant was used, to provide electrical energy to a determined number of producing oil wells. The results obtained for an wind turbine power generation was the supplying of 6 oil wells operating by ESP, 53 equipped with PCP and 10 for gas lift. For the month with the lowest power generation the results were the following: ESP 2 oil wells, PCP 19 oil wells and gas lift 3 oil wells.
