Resumen
The end of the nineteenth century the first three decades of the twentieth century, the average Hinterland Pernambuco Pajeú and especially the city of Serra Talhada (Vila Bela), became the scene of a war very old between Pereira and Carvalho families. The bloods of ostentation and coats in Vila Bela, eventually contribute to a spatial process of power relations between a rural leadership, in the case of Pereiras, and an urban leadership, the Carvalhos. City field and took shape as conquest of territories and maintaining power. The objective of this study is to analyze the theoretical and methodological concepts of power and spatial as well as territory as a fundamental spatial category to understand the conflict between the Families Pereira and Carvalho in the municipality of Vila Bela, current Serra Talhada, as a historical episode of spatial power relations in Brazil of the early twentieth century.
