Currently, the main economic resources include in addition to capital, natural resources, hand labor and knowledge. This work aims to analyse the ways of tacit knowledge transmission from a group of veteran and newcomers employees in the prospecting sector of a software company. The study was descriptive, the technical procedure was the case study and the research instruments used were operational analysis, interviews and observations. The study points out the main tools used in the transmission of knowledge and their effectiveness, the frequency of training and the documentation that is used to support the learning process. The research led us to conclude that various tools are used in the transmission of knowledge and present little effectiveness because they are in an early stage. The recycling of employees is continual and the company has a good documental base, which provides quick access to knowledge.
