O método de iteração inversa é aplicado para resolver o problema de autovalor abstrato A (w) = λ ‖ w ‖ p − q YB (w), onde os mapas A: X → X e B: Y → Y são homogêneos de graus p − 1 e q − 1, respectivamente.
