The technologic evolution brings us significative advances in collection devices and stoma products, besides of specializated nurses in stoma patients. Despite this, lots of patients have adjustment problems. Goal: understand the feelings reported from patients in the posoperatory of a stoma generated surgery. Methodology: meta-synthesis of a search inMEDLINE, SciELO e LILACS bases. In a 59 publications universe three of them match the inclusion criteria. Results: It has been shown here six analyze categories, from the first stoma contact to the construction of new horizons: How stoma affected my life? The power of adaptation. The nurse assistance transition. Humanized care desire. The identified feelings were organized in two groups: negative and positive feelings. In first group were allocated ten feelings. The most important of them were the lack of self confidence because of stoma bad smell, fear of stoma inconvenient and the tough adaptation saddens. The positive feelingsshows up after a harmony adaptation process, cancer survive thankfulness and faith. Conclusion: The care of stoma patient became a professional challenge, because it exceeds the teoric knowledgement about stoma. We should understand what really happened with each person and what the patient understood about the change process with the family and society.
