Abstract

Quenched and tempered low alloy steels are used in several applications, among which are highlighted in this work those where welding is part of the equipment manufacturing process composed of these materials. This work consists of a detailed study about the welding of quenched and tempered low steel, and the analysis of a welding procedure, previously qualified for the steel interface welding AISI 8630 modified. After the study and survey of the technical information of the procedure observations are performed where correlations are made between the preliminary study of the literature review and the aspects analyzed in the quality of WPS.
