Relação entre o grau de alavancagem e a situação financeira pela aplicação do modelo Fleuriet nas empresas mineradoras Vale e MMX nos anos de 2010, 2011, 2012

Abstract

This paper aims to present and analyze the degree of financial leverage and financial condition using Fleuriet Model, seeking to assess the financial performance of the companies Vale and MMX, both from the mining sector, having as sample the financial statements, overall the balance sheet listed on the BM&FBOVESPA for the years 2010, 2011 and 2012. The companies were chosen to obtain a knowledge of the theoretical and applicative financial analysis by comparison with the rates applied by the Fleuriet Model in open traded companies that publish their financial statements for mapping market competitiveness. The results of the application of the Fleuriet Model and the analysis of financial leverage position signaled a reduction in profitability, low liquidity and the possibility of insolvency for the companies assessed.
