Resumen
Were evaluated and compared two different non-invasive methods (oscillometric - PetMap ®, Ramsey and vascular doppler - Model 812 ®, Parks Medical) and invasive (arterial catheterization - the gold standard) measurement of systolic blood pressure (SBP) in 12 healthy cats anesthetized at the same age. The noninvasive methods were also evaluated and compared in 24 healthy cats aware of different ages. The noninvasive methods differ statistically among themselves, however correlate so high and positive. The oscillometric is statistically equal to invasive whereas doppler differs from both. However, the strong positive correlation with the doppler blood pressure measurement, it was possible to create a correction factor. No increase in SBP in both noninvasive methods among different age groups. Despite the significant difference between them, the high positive correlation, it can be stated that the measurements of both are reliable and demonstrate the possibility of using the two techniques in clinical practice, since minimum (standardization of the measurement procedure and environment appropriate clinical) are respected. The consistency of the results obtained, evaluated by comparing the methods studied, is directly related to the care applied to the measurement methodology, the doppler and oscillometric.
