Avaliação crítica de questionários que mensuram os fatores psicossociais em pacientes com dor lombar

Introduction: Around 60% to 90% of the adult population suffers from low back pain (LBP) at some point in life. LBP is, considered as a public health problem that affects all age groups, imposing an enormous economic burden on health systems. LBP is a biopsychosocial condition, being influenced by several factors. Psychosocial factors stand out because they are considered indicators of poor prognosis or recovery. Examples of psychossocial factors are, fear related to pain, catastrophization, depressive symptoms and self-efficacy. Objective: To critically analyze the process of cross-cultural adaptation to the Portuguese language of Brazil and the measurement properties of psychosocial questionnaires relevant to patients with low back pain. Methods: This is a literature review conducted on the MEDLINE database through the OVID platform. Results: Ten articles were included in this literature review. A total of 7 questionnaires were indentified, including: Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia, STarT Back Screening Tool, Orebro Musculoskeletal Pain Sreening Questionnarie, Pain Catastrophizing Scale, Fear Avoidance Beliefs Questionnaire, Bournemouth Questionnarie, Locus de Controle. The process of cross-cultural adaptation was reported for all 7 questionnaires. Most studies (80%) included investigated at least one measurement property. Conclusion: The questionniares indentified in this review showed in general adequate reliability and validity. However, future studies investigating other measurement properties, such as responsiveness are still needed to determine the real contribution of these questionnaires as clinical outcomes.
