Nursing, since its inception, accumulates a range of skills and techniques that become responsible for maintaining the dynamic balance prevent or reverse the imbalance through customer service. Thus, the working process of the nursing staff must be continuous and comply with current legislation. However what we see in professional practice is the accumulation of tasks performed by nursing staff and excess workload required by law, which leads to staff fatigue, tiredness, sleepiness and absenteeism. All this generates errors in patient care by the nursing team. His paper aims to describe how the work overload and excess workload interferes with medication errors occurred by the nursing staff. This is an integrative literature review, through analysis of articles.
