Implementação de atendimentos preventivos e curativos de controle da cárie dentária em crianças do município de Imbé de Minas - MG

Abstract

Tooth decay is a disease of multifactorial origin and is the main villain of the high rate of early loss of deciduous teeth. Therefore, this work presents a proposal for intervention for oral health team on the issue of preventive and curative care for caries control in children municipality Imbé of Minas MG. Has been carried out previously a literature review and were included articles from 2002 databases of SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences) and websites of the Ministry of Health. The intervention proposal aimed to implement preventive programs supervised brushing and topical application of fluoride and reorganize the work process of the dental health team. However, all these measures will not be sufficient if there is no self-care users and reducing inequalities and inequities between regions, which constitute another challenge to the formulation of public policies in the country.
