Resumen
The implant dentistry in recent years has been one of the greatest achievements in dentistry to replace lost teeth. The adaptation prosthetic implant is considered a key factor for the success of restorative treatment, for prostheses with minimal vertical misfit are desired, it is believed to generate lower voltage values to anchorages. The maladjustment of prosthetic components on the implants can cause biological problems, mechanical and even the loss of osseointegration, thus the passive fit of the prosthesis on the stress-free implant. Although many studies in the literature there are no parameters to consider the clinically acceptablemisfit levels. This study aims to conduct a literature review on the levels of vertical mismatch between metal abutments and implants. The results showed acceptable values between 10 to 150m vertical mismatch.
