One of the methods used in the low frequency magnetic shield is the use of plates of metallic materials at the field source. Many books of electromagnetic compatibility approaches the subject in superficial way introducing simplifications that become the equations invalid in the case of not plain waves. This work uses the concept of magnetic potential vector associated to the interface conditions of the problem to deduce, without any simplification, the value of the magnetic induction with a metallic shield for the types of more common field sources: long conductors and the current .
