Resumen
Complex cultural system permeated by institutional narratives based on notions of aesthetics and freedom, while it is influenced by organizational discourses that dialogue with the logic of market and consumption, art is studied in this work, which promotes a discussion about the strength of speeches in relation to the forms of organization and the development of the artists' professional ethos. From an inductive study of qualitative orientation based on semi-structured interviews that were worked through the Fairclough approach of discourse analysis, it was sought to understand the influence of the discourses in the form of organizing and in the relation between agency and structure in the scope of art. It was also sought to evidence the relationship and influence of these discursive macrostructures in the construction of a professional ethos of the plastic artists of Belo Horizonte. The main results suggest that art, when taken at the institutional, organizational and individual levels, constitutes a complex and ambiguous system in the face of symbolic and at the same time economic issues. The main contributions are related to Organizational Studies, a field from which one can observe the discursive influence in the construction of organizational forms, deepening the debate in relation to the dynamic agency-structure in the organizational scope, particularly around the resistance practices established through self-managed organizational forms independent of the institutionalized network.
