This paper studied coping practices discrimination to LGBT pupils and students in school. By conducting a psychosocial intervention project, which proposed the implementation of workshops on homophobia and discrimination against LGBT pupils and students, with male and female students of 8˚ and 9˚ years of the School of Ivo Tassis in Governador Valadares - MG, the challenges of everyday school life regarding discrimination of LGBT pupils and students were discussed. At the end we present the case of the workshops are a productive working method in coping with such situations and in reducing gender inequalities produced within schools.
