The third molar surgery is one of the most common procedures in the dental surgery clinic. Because it is a surgical procedure, professional and patient worry about the discomfort caused by post-surgical pain. In order to comfort the patient, the professional has a range of drugs that are available to relieve this symptom. Some drugs have side effects andcontraindications, even when used in the corresponding period of remission of symptoms and healing of the tissues around the operated area. In this context, research has been conducted to evaluate the low-level laser as a therapeutic agent after surgery, showing analgesic properties, allowing a better post-operatively for the patient andreducing the use of medicines
