Interfaces entre fonoaudiologia e musicoterapia na interação social e linguagem no transtorno do espectro do autismo

In the Clinical Speech Therapy context, music is conjugated as a therapeutic strategy allied to conventional practices, improving aspects related to language and communication, cognitive and executive, social, psychological and emotional functions. Already the Music Therapy is defined as a science that uses music as the main therapeutic tool, mediator of non-musical responses, including sensorial, emotional, cognitive and communication responses. The objective of this study was to conduct a integrative review of the national and international literature based on the subject articles provides speech therapists, music therapists and other health professionals with information regarding the needs of the interface between Speech Therapy and Music Therapy in the intervention of children with ASD, focusing the aspect of social interaction and language. The results of this study indicate few studies in Brazil on this topic focusing on children whose native language is Brazilian Portuguese. However, the research papers recorded in the international literature are in larger number and shows that the intervention using Music Therapy as well as music in Speech Therapy can bring significant benefits in the area of language and social interaction in ASD.
