This study evaluated the influence of sociodemographic and economic variables in diagnostic medicine market, to propose the implementation of a product competitive intelligence. The paper presents a survey of the literature on demographic and economic indicators, competitive intelligence and market diagnostic medicine, methodology, results and limitations and recommendations for future studies. Was developed through descriptive qualitative research based on application interview with the decision makers diagnostic medicine company. Based on interviews and data collection of the sources of information cited, we sought to identify which variables are related to the business. In this context, this paper proposes the creation of a product competitive intelligence to support strategic intelligence activity.
