Resumen
Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder involving motor and non-motor
neural circuits, characterized by premature loss of dopaminergic neurons. Among the
motor symptoms, we highlight gait alterations, with freezing of gait being a frequent
and serious finding, resulting in falls. The objective of the study is to demonstrate the
main physiotherapeutic interventions in the freezing of gait through a literature review,
a literature search with English language restriction was carried out in the databases:
PEDro, Pubmed and Cochrane from June to October 2018. 2 systematic reviews with
meta-analysis and 7 randomized clinical trials were selected for analysis of the results
interventions such as: dance, training with cue strategies, action observation training,
and water and ground walking exercises were able to significantly reduce the severity
of gait freezing.
